Agios Georgios is a village built at the foot of the mountain Maliza. Most of the houses of the village are stone houses with tiled roofs, while the Church of Agios Georgios and the stone fountain dominate the paved square, with the place being overrun by greenery all year round. It belongs to the Soulimochoria of the region, the villages inhabited in the 14th century by Albanophone tribes, based in today’s Ano Dorios, and played an important role in the battles during the Greek Revolution of 1821.

On the west side of Agios Georgios is the site of Louri. There it is believed to have been the ancient city of Olouris as pieces of broken pottery have been found there. At a distance of about 500 meters from the village on the road to Kopanaki, you will see the ruins of the church of Agia Eleni. Finally, a cultural association is active in the area, which occasionally carries out landscaping works in the village.
