The Fairy Garden is located just outside the village of Pefko on Mount Gouvala, within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Oichalia. It is an impressive but also strange location, as popular tradition has linked it to strange stories and legends about elves and fairies that walk there at night, which is where its name comes from.
It is actually a large ‘hole’ about 70-80 metres deep and about 100 metres wide. This location is stunning as it is located in the middle of a green hill, as if a meteorite has fallen and “cracked” the mountain.
